Storage Is About Flow
Truly good storage lets you grab and put away almost without thinking. The key isn’t how many containers you own, but “nearby” and “effortless.”
Layer by Frequency
- Daily: the golden zone — no bending, no tiptoeing
- Weekly: secondary drawers, mid-level shelves
- Seasonal: high shelves, under-bed, storeroom
Room-by-Room
- Entry: unload on arrival — keys, coats, a parcel scissors, each in place
- Kitchen: arrange along the “grab–wash–prep–cook” flow; daily tools on the wall
- Bedroom: clothes zoned by season + type; rotate seasonally
Storage at its best makes it too easy to stay tidy.
Plan locations first, buy containers second — reverse the order and you’ll spiral into “more storage, more mess.”
